Hiring on Dribbble

Updated over 4 months ago

Dribbble makes it easy to find, connect with, and hire top design talent—all in one secure place. From your first message to project completion, you can manage the entire process directly on the platform. Here’s how it works:

1. Send a Project Request

Start by reaching out to a designer or studio whose work fits your needs. You can do this by sending a project request through their profile. Include a short description of your project, your goals, and any relevant context to help them understand what you're looking for.

2. Collaborate on Project Discovery

Once the designer responds, you can begin discussing the project in more detail. You’ll use this stage to align on scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables. All of this happens directly on Dribbble. You can:

  • Share your website, brand assets, or design references

  • Upload NDAs, contracts, and other documents via Dribbble messages

  • Walk through files or ideas on a video call right on the platform

More on this process here: Project Discovery for Clients

3. Receive and Review a Proposal

Once you’ve aligned with your designer on the project scope, they’ll send you a formal proposal through Dribbble. The proposal will include:

  • A clear breakdown of the work and deliverables

  • A timeline and any milestones

  • The total cost of the project

You’ll be able to review the full proposal—including scope, budget, and timeline—before committing. Learn more about reviewing proposals here.

4. Accept and Make Payment

When you’re ready to move forward, accept the proposal and complete payment for the full project or the first milestone. Once you’ve paid, Dribbble securely holds the funds until each milestone is completed and approved. You’ll release payment when the designer submits their work and you're satisfied with the results.
