Browser Notifications

Browser Notifications help you stay up to date with activity on Dribbble in real time, even while working in another browser tab. Once enabled, you'll receive desktop alerts for important project activity and new messages so you don't miss updates from your project partners.

Notifications work on most mainstream browsers such as Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

🔔 Browser Notifications are available to all Dribbble users.

How to enable Browser Notifications

  1. Go to Account Settings > Notifications

  2. Turn on Enable Desktop Browser Notifications

  3. Your browser will ask for permission to show notifications

  4. Click Allow

Once enabled, you’ll begin receiving desktop notifications from Dribbble while your browser is open and has a Dribbble tab open (can be a background tab).

What notifications will I receive?

When Browser Notifications are enabled, Dribbble will send you desktop alerts for:

  • New messages

  • Project activity and updates

At this time, Browser Notifications are enabled for all supported activity types and can’t be customized for specific threads, projects, or events.

How to disable Browser Notifications

You can disable Browser Notifications at any time by:

  • Turning off Enable Desktop Browser Notifications in your Dribbble notification settings, or

  • Disabling notifications for Dribbble directly in your browser settings

Troubleshooting Browser Notifications

I clicked “Block” by mistake

If you selected Block when your browser requested notification permission, Dribbble won’t be able to send desktop alerts until you update the permission in your browser settings.

To fix this:

  1. Open your browser’s site settings

  2. Find notification permissions for Dribbble

  3. Change the setting from Block to Allow

  4. Refresh the page

My notifications aren’t appearing

If notifications aren’t working:

  • Confirm Browser Notifications are enabled in your Dribbble settings

  • Make sure your browser allows notifications for Dribbble

  • Check that your operating system notifications are enabled for your browser

  • Refresh the page or restart your browser

Some browsers may also pause notifications when running in battery saver or focus modes.

Can I choose which notifications I receive?

Not at this time. Browser Notifications are currently enabled for all supported project activity and messages.
