Dribbble is a platform for designers to showcase their work, find inspiration, and connect with high-intent clients to grow their businesses. We offer various opportunities for collaboration, including job listings, Dribbble Projects, and Services. However, to ensure these connections are made securely and effectively, Dribbble has established clear guidelines for sharing contact information, which you can find below.
Can I share my contact information on my Dribbble Profile or Shots? No. Designers are not allowed to share personal contact information such as email addresses, social media handles, phone numbers, or direct payment links anywhere on their Dribbble profile or in their Dribbble Shots.
For your Dribbble profile, contact information is not allowed in:
Profile Username
Profile Name
Bio
Location
Profile Tagline (Pro only)
Cover image (Pro only)
Pitch Video (Pro only)
In Shots, contact information is not allowed in:
Shot images (watermarks, etc).
Shot Titles
Shot Descriptions
Feedback sections
Other Shot metadata (tags, etc)
What counts as ‘contact information’ under Dribbble’s Terms of Service?Contact information includes, but is not limited to, email addresses, social media handles, phone numbers, links to personal websites that display contact details, and payment-related links.
Why can’t I share contact details on my Profile or Shots?
Dribbble designers and clients who meet on Dribbble must keep payments on Dribbble according to our Terms of Service. This means designers are permitted to display or share their contact information prior to client payment on Dribbble. After payment, designers and clients are able to exchange contact information.
This policy is in place to protect designers and clients and mediate any issues that arise during the course of the project. We can also invest more in our product, marketing, and support, which will create more opportunities for designers.
I didn’t include contact details in my Shot —why do I still see an error? If you believe your content has been incorrectly flagged, please reach out to Dribbble Support for assistance.
Can I share external links that aren’t contact information?Yes, some external links are allowed, but only in Shot descriptions. These links must reference finished work, a design partner, or a client. Any URLs that lead to contact details or alternative methods of communication outside of Dribbble are not permitted. Shots containing such links may be returned or removed.
I see other designers with contact information on their Shots—why am I being blocked?
Dribbble actively enforces this policy and removes contact details when detected for all users. If you find contact information on a user's profile or shot page, it is likely that the designer is either unaware of the rule or trying to bypass it. However, this is a violation of Dribbble’s Terms of Service, and accounts found in breach may face penalties, including permanent account suspension.
The only exception to this policy is made for our Designer Advertisers, who are able to display certain contact information on their profile and shot pages.
