Read receipts let you know when someone has viewed your message, so you’re never left wondering whether it was seen. Read receipts add clarity and confidence to your conversations on Dribbble.

⚙️ Read receipts are optional and can be turned off at any time from your Account Settings.

Read receipts currently work in the following places:

  • Messages

  • Intro Messages to Project Briefs

  • Proposals

Who can use read receipts?

Read receipts are available to:

  • Pro Standard subscribers

  • Pro Plus subscribers

  • All Clients

If you don’t see read receipts, make sure you’re logged into an eligible account and that the setting is turned on.

When is a message considered read?

A message is marked as read when it’s viewed either directly in chat on Dribbble or from an email notification.

How do I turn read receipts on or off?

You can enable or disable read receipts at any time from the Privacy & Security page in your Account Settings.

Do read receipts work in real time?

Yes, read receipts appear when a message is viewed, though timing may vary slightly depending on how the message is opened.

Can I turn off read receipts for specific conversations?

No — read receipts can only be turned on or off for your entire account.

If I turn off read receipts, can others still see when I’m active?

Yes. Activity status and read receipts are separate settings and can be managed independently from your Privacy & Security page

Do read receipts apply to old messages?

Yes, with the exception of messages read via email, which is a new addition.
